Melinda has taught many wonderfully talented flute students in Severna Park, Annapolis, and Arnold Maryland. 

Her students are often among the members of Maryland All-State Bands, All County Bands and Orchestras, the Baltimore Symphony
Orchestras Side by Side Concerts, The Chesapeake Youth Orchestras and Flute Choirs, and the Greater Baltimore Youth Orchestras of America.

Two of her former students,  Kelley Gallagher and Eric Maul had an opportunity to Solo with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on their Side by Side Concerts!

In Sterio  performed at Anne Arundel Community College at the Cade Center for Performing Arts  on February 22, 2010. Following the performance there was a TRUNK SHOW featuring Miyazawa and Lyric flutes and Hammig Piccolos. Students were able to sample and purchase instruments.

Founded in 2007, In Sterio has performed at public schools, Universities and Flute Festivals across the country inspiring young and not-so-young musicians to find their own creative voice.  Among the styles In Sterio has integrated and embraced are Irish/Folk, R&B, Funk, Country, Rock, Pop, Trance, Classical, World and New Age. 

The duo has been invited to perform a full program of their original works at both the 2010 Florida Flute and the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair.  They have also performed at the National Flute Association’s 2009 convention in NYC after a successful appearance at the 2008 convention in Kansas City, and are excited to be a part of the Omaha Chamber Music Society’s Music as Medicine Series for the 2009-2010 season. 

In Sterio’s diversity contributes to their popularity among classical and rock musicians alike, allowing them to feel equally at home in bars, theatres, schools, galleries and concert halls.

talented students of all ages and ability levels.

At  Anne Arundel Community College,  Melinda enjoys
teaching Adult Community Flutists of all levels.
